Equestrian Places Third in Region

Drew's equestrian team wrapped up its Show season with a fourth place finish at the IHSA Horse Show hosted by William Paterson at the Centenary College Equestrian Center. The Riding Rangers finish the season in third place overall in the region.

James Fairclough won the blue ribbon in Open Flat, the Rangers' 36th of the season. Fairclough did cede the Regional Cacchione Cup Championship, placing as the Reserve Regional Cacchione Cup Rider for the season. He will continue on to regional championships having qualified in both Open Fences and Flat. Ten other Rangers will join him at the March 29th meet: Amanda Meys (WT), Anne Daniels (WTC), Leanne Horinko (WTC), Ashley Kraft (Nov. Fences), Rachael Mikelson (Nov. Fences), Stephanie Rees (Nov. Fences), Kaitlin Natoli (Int. Fences), Rachel Denning (Int. Fences), James Fairclough (Open Flat, Open Fences), Haley Flagg (Open Fences), Kristine Kennedy (Alumni Flat and Fences).

Five Rangers placed second at the William Paterson show. Hayley Flagg and Katie Kramer both scored five points in Open Fences. Hailee Greene took second in Open Flat as did Ashley Kraft in Intermediate Flat. Christina Labrutto earned second place in Walk Trot Canter.
