Two Senior soccer defenders were selected to the NSCAA Regional All-American teams for the 2009 season. Men's soccer player John Jabar was tabbed for the All-Region second team while women's soccer's Kim Miranowic earned third team accolades.
John Jabar capped his stellar senior season by being named the Landmark's Defensive Player of the Year, an All-Landmark First Teamer, the ECAC Tournament's Most Outstanding Player and a second team NSCAA Regional All-American. Jabar led the Ranger defense to the NCAA's 19th best Team Goals Against Average (0.62) and 13th best Shutout Percentage (0.62). The Rangers allowed just two goals in Landmark games during the regular season with Jabar's central defensive dominance a key factor. For guiding the Rangers to the ECAC Metro Tournament Championship, the Maine native earned the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award. Twice he was named the Defensive Player of the Week as he started all 19 games and recorded one goal and one assist. Jabar, an economics major, was a Second Team All-Landmark selection last season.
Kim Miranowic earned third team All-Region accolades following another strong season in central defense. The Rangers

faced one of the most challenging schedules in the region which helped Miranowic earned the respect of the coaches, who vote for this award. She also earned All-Landmark First Team honors. Outside of the first Landmark game of the season, the Rangers allowed just two goals in conference play, thanks in large part to Miranowic's partnership with
Allison McCord. The senior was a threat to score on every set piece as she tallied a goal and assisted on two others while hitting woodwork on at least five other occasions. A Second Team All-Landmark selection last year, Miranowic started all 57 games since joining the Rangers as a sophomore in 2007.
