Women's Lacrosse Lands Eight on All-Conference Team

MADISON, N.J. (May 11, 2010) - The Drew Women's Lacrosse team received more good news today as the Landmark Conference announced that eight Rangers were voted on the Landmark All-Conference squad. Drew had five players selected to the first team and three players selected to the second team for the second-consecutive year.

First Team:
D-Allison McCord (South Hampton, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep)- McCord collects her second-consecutive first team selection. She started all but one game for the Rangers this season and scooped up a team-high 30 ground balls and was second on the team with 16 ground balls.

D-Elizabeth Law (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) - Law makes her first all-conference team of her career and anchors the Rangers defense along with McCord. She has netted two goals from her defensive position, picked up 16 ground balls and controlled 12 draws for the Rangers in 2010.

M-Sloane Coles (The Plains, Va./Foxcroft School) - The junior is recognized by the Landmark conference for the third time in her career and is on the first team for the second consecutive season. She has 33 points for the Rangers this year and leads the team in draw controls with 47.

M-Lyndsay Rossi (Pennington, N.J./Pennington School) - Rossi repeats as a first-team performer in a tremendous sophomore campaign. She is second on the team in points with 43 and currently leads the Rangers in ground balls with 40.

A-Stacie Brown (Upper Marlboro, Md./Calverton School) - The 2008 Landmark Rookie of the Year makes her third-straight all-conference team. She leads the 2010 Rangers in goals and assists while ranking in the top ten in Landmark Conference in each category

Second Team
G-Rachel Hanley (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) - The two-time team MVP has started every game in the net for Drew in 2010. She is selected for the second time in as many years as an All-Landmark performer. Her 9.56 goals against average is good for second among Landmark netminders.

D-Leeann Trimatrchi (Bridgewater, N.J./Rutgers Prep) - Trimatrchi takes home her first all-conference distinction in her young career. The sophomore caused 10 turnovers and was a road block for the Rangers defense all season long.

A-Emily Mastella (Catonsville, Md./Institute of Notre Dame) - Mastella also was selected to her first all-conference team of her career. She racked up 13 points on the strong Ranger attack and has responded to a larger role in 2010.
