Five Rangers Get All-Conference Nod
MADISON, N.J. (May 11, 2010) - Drew Men's Lacrosse placed three members on the Landmark Conference First Team and two more on the second team. The Rangers had the second most players selected among the conference's seven teams.
First Team
G-
Brad Mendelson (Owings Mills, Md./The Park School) - Mendleson was voted by his teammates as the team's MVP. The senior started 13 games for the Rangers and stopped nearly 70 percent of the shots fired at him.
D-
Greg Hamilton (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) - The Rangers' top defender led the team in caused turnovers and scooped up 27 ground balls in 2010. The junior picked up his first all-conference honor of his career and becomes the second Drew defender in two years to earn a first team slot.
A-
Jon Bucknam (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) - One of the most decorated attackman to come through the Drew program, Bucknam earns his third-consecutive first team selection. The senior led the team with 43 points and 18 assists. His career totals in goals, assists and points leave him in the top 10 all-time in each category in Drew history.
Second Team
M-
Greg Reading (Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley) - Drew's leading goal-scorer in 2010 makes his first all-conference team in his final season as a Ranger. His 29 goals were good for seventh in the Landmark Conference.
SP-
Sean McGowan (Milltown, N.J./St. Josephs Metuchen) - The Rangers face-off specialist collects his first Landmark Conference honor in just his sophomore year. He led the Landmark Conference with 96 ground balls and won 125 face-offs for Drew in 2010.
