STARKVILLE, Miss. (May 17, 2012) – Sophomore Lexie Forsell (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro) was named to the 2012 NFCA Division III East All-Region Second Team this afternoon. Forsell led the Rangers in eight different offensive categories this season.

Earlier this month the sophomore became the first Drew softball player to earn First Team All-Landmark Conference honors since entering the league in 2008. Forsell struck out only seven times in 2012, ranking her 12^th in the nation in the toughest to strikeout category.

In 104 at bats she collected 41 hits good for a team-leading .394 batting average. She ranked in the top 10 in the Landmark Conference in hits, doubles, batting average, stolen bases and on-base percentage. Her 10 doubles on the year moved her up to fifth all-time with 22 career two-baggers. She also is batting .373 for her career good for fifth in program history.
