TOWSON, Md. (May 9, 2013) – The Drew University men's lacrosse team had three players listed on today's All-Conference team released by the Landmark Conference office. Seniors
Dominick Reda (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial),
Scott Humphreys (Newark, Del./Sanford School) and
Steve Gentile (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Indian Hills) were recognized for the second-straight year.
Reda, the 2013 team MVP, was a First Team All-Conference selection for the second-straight season. Reda has anchored the Rangers defense the past three seasons, causing 12 turnovers and scooping up 49 ground balls in 2013. Reda finished his career by starting in his final 44 games, causing 41 turnovers and collecting 155 ground balls.
For the second time in his career, senior
Steve Gentile (Franklin, N.J./Indian Hills) earned All-Conference honors after being listed as a second team midfielder last season and a first team selection this year. He scored 18 goals during the regular season including eight in Landmark games. He tallied 26 points on the season and picked up 44 ground balls.
Humphreys, a First Team selection in 2012, garnered his second All-Conference accolade in as many seasons. He scored 21 goals and compiled 13 assists in his final season as a Ranger. From his attack position he scooped up 28 ground balls and caused six turnovers. For his career, Humphreys scored 93 goals and recorded 30 assists.
