Rangers Lead After First Day of Landmark Championships

Day One Results

HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. –
After the first day of action at the inaugural Landmark Conference Championships, the Drew University women's golf team is in the lead.  The Rangers shot a combined 387 at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club on Saturday to build a 10-stroke advantage over second-place Marywood entering the tournament's final day.

Individually, Lucy Lamb (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Marissa Broderick (Bayonne, N.J.) were tied for first place.  They both carded an 84, which is nine shots clear of Goucher's Christina Puvey in third place.  Drew currently has three golfers in the top five, as Kristine Masseria (Staten Island, N.Y.) is sitting in a fourth-place tie after posting a score of 94 for the first 18 holes.  Kristen Bubrowiecki (Manalapan, N.J.), meanwhile, registered a 125 on Saturday, which is currently good for 23rd place.

The Championships conclude on Sunday with another 18-hole round.  Drew tees off alongside Marywood and Goucher at 11:18 a.m.  Goucher is tied with Scranton for third place, 17 shots back of the Rangers.
