Drew Places Sixth at Inaugural Landmark Championships

MOOSIC, Pa. –
The Drew University men's golf team concluded play at the inaugural Landmark Conference Championships at the Glenmaura National Golf Club on Sunday.  Playing in overcast, windy conditions, the Rangers shot a combined 359 in the final round for an overall score of 704, which was good for sixth place in the team standings.
 
Sitting in 14th place after the first round, Michael Bliss (Neshanic Station, N.J.) shot a 10-over par 81, which equaled the third-best total of the round, on day two.  With that score, two better than the 83 he carded on Saturday, Bliss moved up seven places in the final standings.  His 36-hole total of 164 tied him for seventh place overall.
 
Anthony Castronova (Nutley, N.J.) ended up 18th after carding a 92 on Sunday for a two-day score of 172.  Kushal Renjen (Wayne, N.J.) and Ryan D'Alessandro (Scituate, R.I.), meanwhile, each shot a 93 in the final round.  Renjen finished in a 25th-place tie with a 36-hole total of 181, while D'Alessandro's overall score of 187 was good for 28th place.
 
Drew finished 11 shots behind Elizabethtown for fifth place and 13 strokes behind fourth-place Susquehanna.  Goucher claimed the team title with a combined score of 649, while Scranton's Michael Boland shot a 78 in each round (156 total) to capture the individual championship.
