CAMP PHILOSOPHY

IMPACT Field Hockey is committed to developing the basic fundamentals of your game, improve your overall ability, and most of all, have fun while bringing the game we all love to the next level. We provide an ideal setting on a beautiful campus and facilities for each camper to develop their skills. Our staff is here to help you and challenge you to perform at a higher level. Individual player development is the focus of the morning technical stations and the afternoon sessions stress the tactical concepts of team offense and defense. Evening sessions are an opportunity to put it all together in game competition. Each camper will come away from camp with a greater knowledge of the game and an improved skill level and love for the sport.

ATHLETIC FACILITIES

All coaching and sessions will take place on Artificial Turf field and all new
indoor facility. Grass fields if needed.

CAMP SCHEDULE

August 1: 11-1 PM Check In, 2-4 PM Skill Session, Dinner, 6-8 PM Evening Games
August 2-3: Breakfast, 9-11 AM Individual Skill and Technical Stations, Lunch, 2-4 PM Team Skill and Tactical Instruction, Dinner, 6-8 PM Evening Games, 8-9 PM Optional Camper/Staff Game
August 4: Breakfast, 9-11 AM Camp Tournament, 11:00 AM CampAwards, 11:30 AM Check Out

MEDICAL STAFF AND INSURANCE

A Drew Athletic Training Staff Member will be present throughout the entire camp. A photocopy of camper’s insurance card (front and back) must be turned in with application.

WHAT TO BRING

Linens, Pillow, Towel, Toiletries, Shirts, Shorts, Socks, Cleats, Sneakers, Turfs, mouthguard, shinguards, stick, water bottle.

Individual and Team Camp
August 1-4, 2010
Overnight $425 Commuter $325
Open to beginners and elite levels, individuals and teams. If you join as a team, you will train and play as a team (min 8-max 12 players per team). All athletes that join individually will be
grouped with players of similar ability and experience. We will teach the fundamentals of hockey as well as challenge the needs of the accomplished players.

“Next Step Challenge” Advanced Day Camp
August 2-4, 2010 $125
We are offering a three day session from 11:30-1:30 PM for the most serious player looking to improve their skill, ability, and overall knowledge of the game. You will be coached by top level international coaches and college coaches. We will teach advanced skills for the college game. The entire session will be run like a college practice. This is also great preparation before preseason for college.

“Learn the Game, Love the Game” Junior Day Camp (grades K-6)
August 2-4, 2010 $100
We are running a three day Junior Camp from 9-11 AM Monday-Wednesday. The staff will consist of college coaches and players and we will teach the basic fundamentals of hockey. We will emphasize proper technique and repetition of skill. It will be a fun and great learning environment.
